I-65 near Selma Highway moving again after crash injures 4

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near Selma Highway have reopened and traffic is moving again following a single-vehicle crash with injuries Tuesday morning.

According to Capt. Saba Coleman with the Montgomery Police Department, the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. in the area of mile marker 164, Selma Highway. The driver of the vehicle and two passengers have minor injuries. A third passenger sustained life-threatening injuries.

Coleman said northbound lanes would be temporarily blocked and traffic had to be detoured, but the Alabama Department of Transportation reported traffic was moving again, as of approximately 2:30 p.m.

Additional details about the crash have not been released.
