PINTLALA, Ala. (WSFA) - A south Montgomery County natural gas line was repaired after it was damaged Friday.

According to Capt. Wesley Richerson with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 3600 block of West Hickory Grove near Pettus Road in Pintlala. Residents were evacuated for their safety while gas company officials worked to stop the leak.

Richerson said the leak had been stopped, but gas officials are still repairing the line. However, there is no threat to the public, and the evacuation order has been lifted.
