MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - It’s almost time for the kids to head back to class or head to class for the very first time! WSFA 12 News wants to get you ready for Back to School ‘22.

Elmore County students were welcomed back to the classroom on Monday, while Montgomery Public schools came back Tuesday!

In Montgomery, the district is kicking off the new school year with a new Superintendent. Dr. Melvin Brown has been preparing all summer long to make this year as successful as possible.

Montgomery Public Schools operates 52 schools that serve more than 27,000 students. Montgomery Public School’s buses transport approximately 16,000 students each school day. All of those buses have been inspected and deemed safe for students.

SUPPORT STUDENTS:

Brewbaker Primary’s Parent-Teacher Association in Montgomery is asking for uniform donations to help support less-fortunate students. Donations can be made at the school. For more information, please contact BPSPTAMGT@gmail.com or by calling 334-544-0254.
