First Alert: Rain chances are on the increase this weekend
Wet weather will return for some by Saturday and Sunday, with this pattern continuing into next week.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The weekend is looking rather typical for this time of the year. Afternoon highs both Saturday and Sunday will warm into the 90s under a mix of sun and clouds. The humid factor will stay put this weekend, making it feel warmer to be outside. Overnight lows will hover in the 70s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
With the moisture levels increasing across the state this weekend, that means scattered rain and thunderstorms are back the forecast. Any outdoor plans you have in place, should have a rain backup option attached to them, incase one of those showers and storms populate over your neighborhood.
The start of next week is looking very similar to what we are forecasting this weekend. Afternoon highs will warm into the 90s with partly to mostly cloudy skies in place. The humid factor will stay put next week, making it feel rather sticky to be outside. Showers and storms will remain widely scattered in nature. Overnight lows will remain in the 70s..
Mid-to-late week, next week, is also looking hot and muggy. Highs will top out in the 90s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and storms remain in the forecast. Overnight lows for the week ahead will continue to hover in the 70s.
