First Alert: Daily showers and thunderstorms
Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s most days through the next week
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - It’s the middle of May, but boy does it feel like summer is settling on in... heat, humidity and periods of rain are all in the forecast for this weekend and during the upcoming workweek.
The weather pattern remains the same through Mother’s Day weekend. There will be isolated showers and thunderstorms possible each afternoon and evening thanks to ample heat and humidity. Expect highs to be on either side of 90° Saturday and lower 90s for Sunday.

Additional opportunities for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms exist heading into next week. There really isn’t much of a difference between what this weekend will bring and what next week is forecast to bring.
Coverage of rain each day is forecast to be a little less than what this week has brought. No one day is a washout, and rain is not guaranteed everywhere... with these kinds of conditions the downpours are random in nature.
Temperatures don’t show any significant change next week, as highs will be in the mid and upper 80s with overnight lows in the 60s.
