First Alert: Summer pattern settles in to Alabama
No major changes anytime soon...
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A fairly typical stretch of early June weather awaits us over the next seven days; afternoon temperatures will warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s each day, which is seasonable for this time of year.
Temperatures will only dip down into the mid 60s, so if you’re looking for comfortable conditions you’ll want to either get up early or stay up late!
As is usually the case in a Summer pattern, we’ll dodge a few isolated afternoon and evening showers and storms. The coverage won’t be great... on any given day, 10-20% of us will have short-lived shower or storms. These could bring heavy rain, thunder, lightning and gusty wind, but not to everyone and definitely not all day.

The other 80-90% of the area will simply have a partly cloudy, hot and muggy afternoon. The showers and storms that do pop up will gradually fade after sunset; most nights, we’ll be dry by 10pm at the latest and stay that way through late the next morning.
Temperatures will become the main storyline heading into the first weekend of June. We’ll be at or slightly above normal for most of the next seven days. Again, for early June in Alabama, none of this should come as a surprise!
